Pink Loop Walk 2019 - Sunday 20th October
Another year and another outstanding response to our Pink Loop Walk, the sun was shining and Whangarei put on a beautiful day for us. The Town Basin was once again turned PINK as over 420 people registered for the walk. This was our fourth walk and all funds remain here in Northland to support people diagnosed with breast cancer. Our Trust is a support network providing practical and emotional help to those with breast cancer.
This event cannot happen without the help of a great team of people and businesses:
Huge thanks to Melanie Waldron and her team of helpers, our Trustees and the team from Snap Events www.snapevents.co.nz. There is a huge amount of work that goes on behind the scene to make the day the success it is and we couldn't do it without you all.
Also a big shout out to our Sponsors for the event - TRG Imaging, Eves Real Estate Whangarei, Hubands Energy, Belltech, The Hits, Sarah Burrows Design and Grind and Seal. Thank you for your support and involvement on the day.
To the local businesses who provided Spot Prizes and Auction Prizes thank you, our Silent Auction raised over $2,000.
To all the groups/organisations who entertained the walkers around the Loop, thank you. To the food vendors that were there on the day, thank you for providing coffee, food and refreshments.
As you can imagine there are too many people to thank individually, but to everyone who registered, purchased merchandise, supported someone who was walking, helped on the day, dressed in pink and came along we thank you all as your contributions helped raise $8,000 to help people in Northland living with breast cancer.
